The President of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, sent a public letter to his Venezuelan counterpart, Juan Guaidó, in which he supports the proposal of a Transitional Government and free elections for Venezuela.
“My government has supported from the beginning the various processes of internal negotiations with international support that seek a democratic and peaceful transition in Venezuela,” Moreno recalled in the letter.
Likewise, Moreno rejected the unconstitutional appointment of a new National Electoral Council by Nicolás Maduro’s regime and its attempt to concentrate all the powers of the State.
The Ecuadorian president assured that he will continue to be attentive to the situation that Venezuela is going through and reiterated that he and his government want the Venezuelans to achieve the democratic change that they so much seek.
