Antonio Tajani referred to the departure from Venezuela of the Presidential Commissioner for the Center of Government of Venezuela, Leopoldo López.
“I have learned that Leopoldo López is finally free from Maduro’s regime,” he said this Sunday through his personal Twitter account.
Tajani recalled that Lopez was kidnapped and tortured by Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship for three years.
“His exemplary courage along with that of Lilian Tintori and Leopoldo López Gil are fundamental for a free Venezuela,” he added.
This Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain confirmed the arrival of López to Madrid.
