The Commissioner of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the Venezuelan Migrant Crisis, David Smolansky, revealed that the massive exodus of compatriots continues to increase.
“There are already 5.5 million Venezuelan migrants and refugees to date,” Smolansky warned in a message posted on his official network accounts.
Likewise, the official appointed by the OAS revealed the list of the countries that have received the most Venezuelan migrants and refugees in Latin America and the Caribbean:
Colombia: 1.7 million
Peru: 1 million
Chile: 456 thousand
Ecuador: 420 thousand
Brazil: 267 thousand
Argentina: 180 thousand
Panama: 120 thousand
Dominican Republic: 114 thousand
Mexico: 101 thousand
Costa Rica: 40 thousand
Trinidad and Tobago: 40 thousand
Guyana: 36 thousand
