The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, held a telephone meeting with the President-Elect of Peru, Pedro Castillo, with whom he discussed the situation in Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua.
Sec. Blinken assured that during the call he thanked Peru for its support in addressing the crisis in Venezuela and expressed his hope that the country will continue to play an important role in building positive situations in the face of the crisis in Venezuela and Cuba.
The United States Secretary of State celebrated the enduring alliance and continued cooperation between the two nations.
The United States has reiterated the importance of international cooperation in the face of the serious social, economic, political and humanitarian crisis in Venezuela.
