The dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro once again attacked the democracy and institutions of Venezuela, after announcing an alleged disqualification (ban) from holding public office for a period of 15 years against 28 legitimate deputies of the Republic and the President In Charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó.
The parliamentarians of the Legitimate National Assembly spoke out in rejection of the new ruling by the Comptroller’s Office of Maduro’s dictatorship and reiterated their commitment to the Venezuelan democratic cause.
“The people elected me a deputy, the dictatorship took my freedom for three years and now disqualifies me for 15. The truth is that my family, training and values had already disqualified me from participating in a fraud,” said Freddy Guevara, stating that the the real fight is to save Venezuela.
Legislator Mariela Magallanes expressed that the regime’s actions motivate the continuation of the fight to liberate Venezuela through free, fair and verifiable presidential and parliamentary elections in order to end the suffering of Venezuelans.
“The dictatorship can not disqualify those who fight for freedom and the rescue of democracy (…) We are doing well,” she said.
The First Vice President of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, ignored the announcement of the disqualification by the regime and stated that he will continue working for the liberation of Venezuela.
“This is the only thing that keeps us sleepless (The liberation). What the coward from Miraflores and his accomplices do we don’t care,” he said.
Deputy Carlos Valero assured that the goal continues to be the full recovery of the Constitution and the Republic.
“All those who speak out against the barbarians take risks. God bless our beloved Venezuela,” he stated.
For his part, Interim President Juan Guaidó said that the illegal actions of the dictatorship close the door to free elections, however, he emphasized that he will continue to fight for Venezuelans and for the full recovery of democracy.
“My commitment is with the Venezuelans, to achieve the recovery of democracy in our country. They may threaten everything they want but we continue working here,” he affirmed.
The Legitimate Government issued a statement rejecting the actions of the regime that undermine freedom in the country and undermine the institutional framework of the Republic, ensuring that the disqualification is a sign of the absolute absence of conditions to exercise politics in Venezuela.
