The Deputy to the National Assembly, Rafael Veloz, remarked that the process of the International Criminal Court in Venezuela is complying with the deadlines set by the body.
“A preliminary procedure in most cases takes 8 years, but in the case of Venezuela it has taken just over 3 years. Now the ICC is focused on the location of reliable evidence,” the parliamentarian said in statements to AN Radio.
Likewise, he pointed out that Nicolás Maduro is being directly investigated for his responsibility in different crimes against humanity committed for years in Venezuela.
On November 3rd, ICC prosecutor Karim Khan announced during his visit to Venezuela, that he will initiate a formal investigation into crimes against humanity committed by regime officials.
