The First Lady of the Republic, Fabiana Rosales de Guaidó, celebrated the performance of the Venezuelan Paralympic athlete, Lisbeli Vera, who won a second gold medal in the 200m flat of the T47 category at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
“Thank you for being an example of effort and perseverance. Today they give a new joy to the nation that needs it so much,” added the wife of the President in Charge of Venezuela in a message posted on her social network accounts.
“This is wild. I’m happy,” said the 19-year-old sprinter with a laugh after winning her third medal in Tokyo, two golds and one silver.
“I always said that I was coming for three medals and that we had worked for this, we knew it was possible. We suffered a lot, we worked very hard, but it was achieved. Today we can say that Venezuela has made its best performance in history with the 26 athletes who came and I feel very excited to be part of all this,” said Ms. Vera.
