The president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, reported through his social network accounts that the deputy of the legitimate National Assembly, Gilberto Sojo, was kidnapped on Thursday night by repressive groups that serve Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship.
“He has been kidnapped by the FAES, the extermination group of the regime that the UN has requested to dissolve and whose head has been sanctioned by the European Union.”
The President of the Republic affirmed that although the threats from Maduro’s regime are not in vain, they will not stop the struggle of millions of Venezuelans to achieve freedom for the country.
Numerous deputies of the Venezuelan Parliament have demanded Sojo’s freedom through their social media accounts. The first vice president of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, indicated, “We hold the regime responsible for what may happen to our colleague Gilberto Sojo. We alert the international community of this fact.”
Furthermore, Deputy Delsa Solórzano added, “The regime continues to systematically violate human rights. Enough. We demand his immediate release.”
